Help me understand

Help me understand this, and let me know how you feel!

Here is the scenario: you have/had a significant other dating, married, or divorced from; and that person causes harm or abuse to your child/children, if you do not do anything about it, because you did not know or you left your child/children in that person care, you could be charged  for  abuse and /or go to jail, for negligence for basically allowing it to happen.  But on the other hand, you have suspicions that something is not right and may even have factual events that there could be harm or abuse,  mentally or physically going on and you report it to the proper authorities, and they investigate and make a report.  But nothing is really done!  How many reports do they take before they actually do anything? How long does someone continue to allow their child/children to endure such a situation?  I don’t get it, do they not want to handle the situation before more harm is done or before it is too late?  Will someone please help me understand!

Domestic Violence

I want my story heard before I die!
This is Domestic Violence Month, and I am a victim of domestic violence, I am writing this to put a face on domestic violence.  Many times the faces you see are after women are badly beaten or dead; but I am victim that has not reached that point yet and hope by telling my story that I will not, and in the process will help someone else.

For the past five years I have endured situations that I never knew I would have to face.
I left my ex-husband September 2005; because of drug abuse, and I was concerned for my child and my safety.  The domestic violence has continued over the years, with his threats on my life, all forms of harassment, sending letters, voice messages, damaging my car, numerous phone calls to home, work, and cell, and him pushing me. I have had two protective orders and a no contact orders against him, he also had supervised visits with our son, and he went to jail for aggravated stalking and domestic violence and with all of that, he still continues to harass us.  May of 2010, I had a temporary injunction hearing and Judge Phillips; basically told me so he pushed you, did you fall back, did you hurt yourself, well your evidence is insufficient, order dismissed.  If something is not done, I feel that the only way we will be safe and free, is when we are dead!

The courts say that they have the best interest of the children and families in mind, but how can they when they allow these abusers to keep doing what they are doing and allow them to visit with their children, when we the victims are screaming at the courts, about the incidents that are taking place with the children and ourselves, we see the signs and are asking them to look at each case on an individual basis. Talk to the kids, listen and look at the signs before it is too late!
We need help Please help get our stories out and Stop the Violence!
